Molly talks about kindness and compassion and ways to be more compassionate and kinder to others and ourselves. The perspectives each person has comes from their experiences in their lives. We show ourselves to others through our own experiences.
Molly invites her listeners to begin to listen to others differently. If you hear something that someone says that you don’t agree with, take a minute to recognize the feelings you feel. Ask yourself why you are feeling this way. What is happening within you, that is creating the response that you are feeling? It can be easy to use pain, frustration, and sadness and turn it into anger. How many times in your life were you sad about how someone talked to you, and you lashed out in anger? Why did you choose anger?
Molly feels we do this to protect our hearts and to keep us from being vulnerable. Being vulnerable makes you strong. Feelings give us the ability to grow.
You can choose to be kind. You can choose to see the other perspective. You can choose to talk about why you may not agree with that perspective. Molly invites you to open your mind to listening to other perspectives to grow and understand why others may feel differently from you.
Molly talks about the importance of listening and learning from our children. She shares what she learns from her kids.
Take the time to feel your feelings. Communicate how you feel and be willing to verbalize how you feel so that you can move forward. Be kind to yourself and be kind to others. Let’s work together to create a more compassionate and caring world.
